Christmas and a Closing

We had a wonderful Christmas this year spent with our little family and our extended families!  We are so very blessed!  I can hardly believe that our kids are 7!!!  Thankfully they are still into the magic of Christmas and all that it entails.
We got in another year at Santa's Village...and they're still not too cool for pics with Frosty and Santa.  Yay!

The kids were in our church's Christmas play and they were great!  I was so proud of them!  Abbie was a narrator,  Bailey was the innkeeper's wife and Anna (with Simeon), and Noah was a Roman solder and a wiseman.
Christmas morning...they LOVED their new chairs!

And Santa brought them lots of goodies...their favorite thing was their roller skates!  They have been skating non-stop!!!
We had lots of fun family time and we all thoroughly enjoyed the break from school and routine!

On another note, I have decided that it is time to bring my blog to a close.  I am so thankful that I started it years ago.  It helped me to stay connected to others at a time when it wasn't real easy to get out with three babies.  It gave me an outlet for my thoughts on life with triplets and helped keep me sane in the process!  But more than anything, it helped me document the early years so I will have it for my kids to read one day.  If I hadn't done this blog, I would not remember much of anything!  Sad, but true.  So, I'm getting one more book published, so Abbie, Bailey, and Noah will have it all recorded to look back on one day.  They can laugh at all the funny things they said and did...and laugh at how crazy we were in the process!  :)  Hopefully, more than anything they will see just how much we have always loved them!  So, all good things must come to an end.  They are growing up so fast...we are in a new stage that is filled with school, friends, church, and plenty of other activities.  Time is precious with my kiddos, and I have other ways I want to document my time with them now.  I just want to be present and enjoy each day with my sweet family.  So, thank you for reading and keeping up with us on here!  Blessings to you all in 2014!

Fall Fun

The kids had a fun-filled soccer season this fall.  Running around with them on two different teams is definitely busy and keeps us on the go!  Go Bluejays and Tigers!!!
I went on a field trip with the kids to the pumpkin patch again this year...I'm trying to soak it up while it's still fun to them!
Storybook Character Day at school...Viola Swamp from Miss Nelson is Missing, Jack from Magic Tree House books, and Sister Bear from The Berenstain Bears.
Halloween...a cowgirl, a cowboy, and Ariel.
Bailey got to bring their class mascot, Talon, home for a weekend.  We had all kinds of fun with him and documented it all!
Also, we were blessed with a new baby boy cousin, Landon, in November.
We are blessed!

Labor Day Beach Trip

We got away Labor Day weekend and went to the beach for a few days.  My parents and brother's family went along, too.  It was the perfect little trip!  Traveling is so much more fun and enjoyable as the kids are getting older.  Here are a handful of pics from our trip...

1st Day of 1st Grade

All smiles and no tears on their first day!  This is their first year to be in separate classes at school.  It has been great for them to have a little independence, and now they are genuinely happy (for the most part) to see each other when they are able to at school and then at home in the afternoons.  I think separating them will help somewhat with the competition that comes along with them being the same age.  If only I can manage to keep it all straight...whew!  That part is exhausting!  They are growing up so quickly, though...I'm trying to soak it up as best as I can in the midst of the busyness that comes along with raising three.  I'm SO blessed to be their mom!

End of Summer Happenings

It's hard to believe that this is our last week of summer break.  It has flown by, but we have had one of our best summers yet!  July started off with a full week of Nana Camp for the kiddos.  Once again, it was filled with more fun-filled activities than you can even imagine!

These pictures say it all...non-stop excitement!!!  :)
Right after the kids left for Nana Camp, Ben left for 3 weeks for training in Ohio for a new job.  I had a very quiet first week with no husband or kiddos.  We met in between in Louisville the 2nd weekend and made a family trip out of it.
We were SO happy to finally have him home!
We went to Gatlinburg with Ben's parents for the weekend and stayed at The Inn at Christmas Place. Kids got a pic with Santa...bathing suits and all!

And we ended the summer with a bang...Noah fell off the kitchen counter a few days ago.  He landed on his head and soon after started showing all the signs of a concussion.  He gave us quite a scare! Thankfully, his cat scan was clear.  A few hours later, he perked up and got a popsicle and a clean bill of health.  Whew...boys!
Back to routine and headed to 1st grade soon!
